Things that I can not offer

Sometimes you have to accept the fact that you can’t please everyone, that you can’t give everything, that you can’t satisfy every need.

From the moment we realize this, we find ourselves freer; as if a heavy burden had just been taken away from us.

Nothing at all

I came across another expression in French that makes me think: « Nothing at all« .

Basically, nothing at all. A nothing that is part of a whole. At first glance, it’s rather logical, because the whole contains the nothing.

If I refer to my probability lessons at university: « the empty set is the first subset of the set universe ».

So that makes sense.

Opposite questions same answers?

I asked my little sister this afternoon:

Do you want to eat? Her answer: no. Then, right afterwards, I asked her: don’t you want to eat? Her answer: no.

At the time I didn’t really get it, but then I figured that it’s rather strange that two closed questions that seem to be opposite each other have the same answer; and this is still logical!

I attended my first contributor day at Yoast

One month already. And this last Friday of August, I participated in my first contributor day at Yoast.

It was a cool experience. I was able to talk with colleagues with whom I hadn’t been able to conntect with before. And seeing everyone participate in the WordPress contribution was really cool.

What do you listen to when you work?

What do you listen to when you work? If you listen to music while working, of course.

Are you more into quiet rhythm, lively or warm music?

Personally, I have one or two favourites that I always play over and over again.

First and foremost is the ChilledCow channel on YouTube. They play « lofi hip hop radio » 24 hours a day, every day; and their playlist is often great.

Secondly, I recently discovered Code Radio by freeCodeCamp which has more « coder oriented » music.

And of course I still have great playlists on Deezer, like Happy Hits by Deezer Moods Editor (which I’m currently listening).

Cherish small advances

Over time I have learned to cherish the small advances I make.

I’m a very eager natural, so it’s really good as a method to keep me motivated in the long run.

1D fanatic

1D fanatic.

Is there anyone who thinks that One Direction is not one of the most epic pop and pop rock bands that ever existed?

And that their separation is one of the greatest losses in this musical genre?
